Feed the world with the best varieties and have them available in quantity for farmers

Our philosophy

We are a Swiss-company and our mission is to multiply the best plant varieties for quality and yield  in sufficient numbers. Plant breeding has made enormous progress in the last 20 years and many varieties have impressive gains in yield, disease resistance and quality.

Through our technologies, we help your business get a large-scale access to these varieties, and ensure a performing and sustainable agriculture.

The best varieties are often not available to farmers, especially in tropical countries, because the large-scale multiplication of these plants is impossible or limited without tissue-culture technologies (embryo and organo-genesis).
We put this know-how to the benefit of the greatest number of people so that agriculture becomes both ecologically and socially sustainable, in order to allow farmers and agricultural actors to make a living from their work in a world subject to climate change.

Mission

Agriculture has the power to shape societies and economies.

Our technology

Our research team has many years of experience in producing plantlets for coffee, cocoa, agave and oil palm through different cutting-edge tissue-culture technologies (embryo-genesis and organo-genesis). Among others, the team has historically delivered more than 20 million Arabica and Robusta coffee plantlets around the World.

Our Swiss laboratory allows us to guarantee the production and delivery of seedlings under the best shipping conditions and to maximize the success of the future stages of acclimatization and growth of the seedlings.

In addition, our team works in close partnership with specialists in mycorrhizal symbiosis in order to significantly improve plant vigor and development after transplanting.

Multiplication
We multiply the plants in Switzerland under strict aseptic conditions. We can generate phytosanitary pass.

Somatic-embryogenesis is a revolution to plant multiplication.
Better resources for better predictability.

Crops of interest

PolyplantsLogoLeavesColor2.png

High-value plants (such as coffee, cocoa, oil palm) are trees that take several years to mature. New varieties have much higher yield and lower labor and crop-protection costs.

We guarantee the quality of our plants, their traceability and value in the field by following our customers on site.

Our Somatic Embryogenesis technology is the one that allows the best quality/price ratio by bringing high performances with limited costs considering the volumes. We also use organo-genesis for the plant compatible

Coffee varieties
yielding +50%

Some Arabica varieties (e.g Riuru11) can bring resistance to disease, improve the yield and decrease the use of crop-protection means. Our team got experience in producing more than 20 million plantlets for farmers all around the World.

We enable all coffee producing partners to tackle the challenge of multiplying "hard-to-multiply" plants in large quantity and secure long term production.

Coffee

Cocoa varieties
yielding +30%

Cocoa trees have faced the dramatic impact of diseases and thus populations/producers have lost  significant amount of money.

The multiplication of high-yielding varieties is a major component of securing farmer revenues and assuring stable prices the global cocoa value chain.

We can multiply by Somatic Embryo-genesis the selected best trees by millions.

Cocoa

Oil palm tree yielding +50%

The Oil Palm industry has now been for years under pressure due to intense deforestation, and has tackled the challenge with deep commitments and changes in the way to operate.

One of the solutions to meet global demand while getting limited acreage is to increase the yields.

Recent varieties have been able to reach roughly +50% yield per hectare.

Our team has the know-how to apply Somatic Embryo-genesis to Oil Palm, and thus provide improved revenues at the farmer/processor and country levels.

Other crops and climate change

We can surely multiply your high-value crops. It could range from Ananas to climate-change adapted plants, especially drought-tolerant plants with agronomic interest.

Agave

The first step of Agriculture is choosing the right plant. Then we multiply it.
